New York Rhythm 2022

"The rhythm of life is a jazz rhythm, honey ..."

As soon as I arrived in New York, I felt this rhythm. The rattle of the subway, the grid of the streets, the facades of the skyscrapers, how people move through the city, the vibrant beats of music everywhere. 
In my experimental use of photography, I create multi-layered images which absorb this rhythm and as a whole find a dynamic movement in balance.
A tribute to Piet Mondrian's 'Broadway Boogy Woogy', transferred to the 21st century, to a world of pixels and QR codes, information overload and multimedia experiences. 
From afar, it is an interesting pattern. When you come closer, you discover the abundance of vivid details. This is New York!
